AREAS OF APPLICATION

For preparing and laying ceramic tiles and slabs, fine stoneware and insulation panels.

To ensure a flexible adhesive bed and to avoid Constraining stresses on critical substrates.

On heated screeds, balconies, terraces and facades, especially young ones precast concrete elements

For repair and leveling coats prior to laying in the event of unevenness up to approx. 8 mm.

SURFACE PREPARATION

CM 17 adheres to all solid, load-bearing, clean, dry and damp Substrates that are free from separating substances.

Remove coatings with insufficient load-bearing capacity.

Plasters of mortar groups P II/P III (minimum age 28 days), cement screeds (minimum age 28 days, residual moisture = 2 wt.-%, heated screed = 1.8 wt.-%) and Concrete (minimum age 3 months) can be covered directly with tiles

PROCESSING

Mix CM 17 in clean, clear water until there are no lumps or lumps.

Approx. 9.0–10.5 l of water are required to mix 25 kg of CM 17.

For partial amounts, observe the mixing ratio of 2.3 RT powder to approx. 1 RT water

After a maturing time of approx. 5 minutes, mix the mortar again.

Adjust the necessary consistency carefully with water.

Thin-bed mortar according to the recognized rules of technology in the Process thin-bed process.

Allow for a skin formation time of approx. 30 minutes.

Choose the toothing of the comb spatula so that there is a break-up of at least 65 %

Fresh mortar residues can be cleaned with water, hardened material can only be closed mechanically remove.

Grout after approx. 24 hours.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

Only process the material when it is dry and at temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C.

CM 17 contains cement and has an alkaline reaction with water, therefore skin and eyes protection.

In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water.

In case of contact with eyes consult a doctor.

For laying tiles in chemically stressed areas and on Substrates that are not listed here, other Ceresit laying materials deploy.
